Wonderful, wonderful Copenhagen

Just returned from another magical trip to Copenhagen, where I performed at the Best Tellers Scene. What a great place that is for telling. It’s dark and intimate and quiet… In the space between me and the audience, a door opens… I step through… look over my shoulder and invite the listeners to follow me… and they do. Into Cat World.

Back there again in March. Can I wait that long?

How To Be Glorious

MAJOR NEW PROJECT FOR 2011

HOW TO BE GLORIOUS

An inspirational one woman show by Cat Weatherill

The publicity has been designed, the copy has been written, the show is under development…

How To Be Glorious will be Cat’s main touring show for 2011. Drawing upon her own experience of life and love, Cat is creating a  ‘romantic, fantasy adventure for anyone who has ever felt like running away.’

The show will run for 2 x 45 minutes and finish with a 30 minute mirror-ball disco! There will also be motivational workshops for women to complement the show – and maybe even a book!

Big Happy Stories

This is a STORY CD featuring stories specially chosen to appeal to children up to the age of seven (though the whole family will enjoy it in the car on long journeys!)

The stories are:

  • The Pied Piper of Hamelin
  • Why Trees Turn Red in the Autumn
  • Little Red Riding Hood
  • The Penguin and the Star
  • Olga and the Big Brown Bear
  • The Rocket and the Candle

There is also some jaunty mandolin music from Sean Saye!

The CD costs £8 including p&p and can ONLY be bought direct from Cat, either at shows or via mail order. Please use the form on the CONTACT CAT tab if you would like to buy one.

PLEASE NOTE this is not a new CD! It is my original children’s CD with new packaging.

Great new photos

I’ve just bought publishing rights to three great photos from the supremely talented German photographer Arnold Morascher. They were taken at the Fabelhaft Festival back in May this year. He sent me SO MANY to choose from…It was an impossible task! Every one brought back a vivid memory, whether onstage or off.

I’ve been invited to perform at Fabelhaft 2011 so there will be more delights to come from Arnold.

Dublin & FATE

Dublin was wonderful! My host – the legendary Irish teller Niall de Burca – was charm personified. Nothing was too much trouble for him. I spent a wonderful morning telling in a couple of schools – great kids, very lively – and then he took me to see seals basking just off the shore line. So lovely. I had the pleasure of sharing a stage (again) with the dynamic Kasper Sorensen when we performed at The Cobblestone, and the three of us had a great night at a live music pub in the city centre. Memories to treasure 🙂

Off to Festival at the Edge 16 – 18 July where Kasper will be performing again. I will be having an easy time of it this year. No performing – just enjoying!

Kasper and Niall outside the venue for our Dublin debut!
