Public Speaking

After dinner charm, afternoon delight…

Cat WeatherillInspirational, wise and entertaining – that’s Cat. She’s a honey-tongued raconteuse! If you’re looking for a charming after-dinner speaker or a guest speaker for your conference, your search might be over. Congratulations! You’ve found the golden needle in the dry old haystack.

But be warned – Cat doesn’t accept EVERY public speaking gig she is offered. Public speaking isn’t easy, even for experienced professional talkers. If you have ever made a speech in front of a room full of people, you will know this! For a speaker to shine, they must feel the three Cs: comfortable, confident and capable of delivering the goods. Some speakers will accept the booking, wing it on the night and happily pocket the fee. Cat won’t do that! If she feels she isn’t right for the job, she will say so. Corporate gatherings, conferences, award evenings – these are important events for a client. A speaker should enhance the event, not undermine it! Cat understands that and always works honourably.

So – where does Cat fit best? She works especially well with predominantly FEMALE audiences, so she is a perfect choice for teacher and librarian conferences. She has entertained audiences at regional WI gatherings, the Red House Children’s Book Award, Carnegie Medal events and many other ‘bookish’ functions. She offers a winning combination of heart-warming tales and wry observations on life as a middle-aged woman. Funny and poignant and very, very real, Cat can raise smiles and touch hearts at the same time.

Cat also works extremely well as an after dinner speaker/entertainer for general mixed audiences, especially in the older age groups. She doesn’t accept bookings for predominantly MALE audiences – sorry!
