I’ve just returned from my latest adventure – ten weeks in Egypt and India.
I began in Cairo, seeing the pyramids and the wondrous Tutankhamun collection at the Cairo Museum. Then I flew down to Luxor to the Valley of the Kings, and the breathtaking Temple of Karnak. Then it was on to Delhi…
From Delhi I went to Ludhiana, where I performed at the Kahaani Children’s Storytelling Festival. Then on to Amritsar and sunset at the exquisite Golden Temple. Next – Agra, and the Taj Mahal at dawn. And then it was on to Goa for five weeks. And yes, I spent it in a bikini on the beach beneath the palm trees, but I WAS working! I was gathering material for an adult book, which I am working on right now.
From Goa, I moved on to Jaipur, to perform and speak at the world’s biggest free literary festival. There were 250,000 people there over five days!
And finally – Varansasi, the magical ancient city on the banks of the Ganges. Nothing can follow Varanasi…
